Local Conservatives chose me to stand for Darlington and Durham Police and Crime Commissioner in 2016.
In this election, the Conservative vote share rose by from 10% (in 2012) to 24%, the biggest increase in the Conservative vote share of any police force area in England. He secured a 5% swing from Labour to Conservative in Darlington.
